Welcome to Awamoa Bins & Skips, we are a family run business offering residential and commercial curbside collections services to Oamaru and the surrounding areas.
Our team is happy to look after all of your waste disposal needs from general waste, green waste and recycling to skip hire for those bigger jobs.
We are the only 100% locally owned and operated waste collection service in Oamaru and pride ourselves on our fully flexible service and payment options to suit your individual needs
With Awamoa Bins there is NO CONTRACT and NO DEPOSIT.
We also don't want to charge you for collections you don't need; that's why, with us, you ONLY PAY PER EMPTY.
CHRISTMAS COLLECTION / CHANGES
NO rubbish collection Thursday & Friday 25th & 26th December or 1st & 2nd January 2026.
Thursday Rubbish collection will be collected two days early on Tuesday 23rd & 30th December.
Friday Rubbish collections will be collected two days early on Wednesday 24th and 31st December.
NO changes to Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Rubbish collection.
Recycle will Only be collected Monday the 22nd & 29th December.
Kakanui Recycle will be collected Monday 29th December.
Last Green waste collection will be the 18th December and will resume the 8th of January 2026.
We will have a drop off point for green waste at our yard (27 Chelmer Street) for customers to drop off green waste over the Christmas period.
